ABOUT ICRIDME2024

The 2nd International Conference on Recent Innovations & Developments in Mechanical Engineering (ICRIDME 2024) is going to be held in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Meghalaya, Shillong, India on November 14 -16, 2024. The conference will provide a global platform for researchers, academicians, scientists, practicing engineers, and industry professionals to showcase and deliver their research work, studies, contributions, developments, and new concepts related to the field of Mechanical Engineering. The event will consist of keynote lectures in various themes by eminent personalities of respective domains, regular sessions of contributed papers, and invited talks. Prospective authors are invited to submit original contributory works, which are not under submission anywhere else. All papers will undergo a blind peer-review process and the criteria for acceptance will be based on quality, originality, technical content, and relevance.

About NIT Meghalaya & ME Department

The National Institute of Technology Meghalaya is one among the 31 NITs in India established under the NIT Act 2007 (Amended 2012) of the Parliament of India as Institutes of National Importance with full funding support from the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The Institute presently situated at Laitumkhrah, Shillong, India. The Institute has five Engineering Departments as Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. Since 2017, we are consistently maintaining our position in NIRF in top 100 institutes of India. In 2023, we are ranked at 72 by NIRF. The department of Mechanical Engineering was started from the session, July 2013. The department is accredited by NBA in 2021 and is offering 4-years B.Tech Program in Mechanical Engineering with an intake capacity of 30. From the year 2014, the department has started the PhD program in the area of Design & Manufacturing in Mechanical Engineering, Application of Soft Computing Techniques in Machining, CFD, Turbulence Modeling, Fluid Mechanics etc. From the session July 2015, the department has started the M.Tech program in the field of "Fluids and Thermal Engineering", with an intake capacity of 20. The main objective of the department is to cater the students with class tutorial and in hand practice with state-of-the-art laboratories & workshop.
